SAKURA POETRY

Japanese poetry is really famous and traditional Haiku contains a limited number of syllables. The Haiku used for this design was created by Matsuo Basho and reflects the melancholia of cherry blossoms.

Japanese words used

梅が香に 追いもどさるる 寒さかな
The scent of cherry blossoms.
Being carried backwards.
To cold weather.

松尾芭蕉: Matsuo Basho (Haikus writer. 1644-1694)

俳句: Haiku
